Gibson named WJCAC Baseball Player of the Week

Holt Gibson of Midland College was named the Western Junior College Athletic Conference's Player of the Week in baseball.

A sophomore righthander from Lubbock, Texas, Gibson nailed down the WJCAC Pitcher of the Week accolades. He led the Chaps to a key conference win last week by throwing a 2-hitter. Overall, he worked 7 innings and did not allow an earned run. He struck out 6 and walked just one batter.

The WJCAC did not nominate a Position Player of the Week.
