Mazon, Wallace claim NTJCAC Baseball Players of the Week honors

Trace Mazon of Weatherford College and Alex Wallace of McLennan Community College have been selected the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Baseball Players of the Week.

A freshman third baseman from Aledo, Texas, Mazon was named the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week. He finished the week with a batting average of .600 with 3 doubles, a home run and 12 RBI. He also drew a walk and stole 2 bases while scoring 7 runs.

A freshman righthander from Santa Margarita, California, Wallace was the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week. Overall, he went 2-0 during the week, allowing just 1 hit with 14 strikeouts in 9.2 innings on the bump. He was one out shy of a complete game due to the pitch count in the Highlanders' 9-0 win over Hill. His other win came via a 10-1 decision over Bossier Parish.
