Salas, Do Named DAC Baseball Players of Week

Dallas College North Lake Baseball's Leo Salas and Dallas College Eastfield's Tyler Do were selected the Dallas Athletic Conference's Baseball Players of the Week.
Salas was selected as the DAC Position Player of the Week.
A sophomore outfielder from Haltom City, Texas, Salas crushed two home runs, including a grand slam, and drove in nine runs, while batting .385 with a walk and three runs scored as the Blazers won a conference series from Dallas College Mountain View. Salas was 3 for 3 with a homer and four RBI in a 7-6 win over the Lions. He went 1 for 5 with a homer and four RBI in an 8-4 series-clinching win over Mountain View.
Salas is hitting .347 with five home runs and 27 RBI this season.
North Lake (14-21, 6-6 DAC) will host Dallas Christian College 4 p.m. Monday before beginning a three-game series at Dallas College Richland noon Wednesday.
A sophomore from Sugar Land, Texas, Do was named the DAC Pitcher of the Week.
He went the distance in an 8-1 win over No. 4 Dallas College Richland last week. He had a career-high nine strikeouts, and allowed three hits, two walks and an unearned run in his nine innings of work.
Do improved to 2-1 with a 4.34 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 45.2 innings this season.
No. 2 Eastfield (31-4, 12-0 DAC) will host North Central Texas College 12 p.m. Monday before finishing the first round of conference play in a three-game series with Dallas College Brookhaven beginning noon Wednesday on the road.
