Alvarado, Boucher claim WJCAC Baseball honors

Lazaro Alvarado of Odessa College and William Boucher of Frank Phillips were selected the Western Junior College Athletic Conference Baseball Players of the Week.
A sophomore righthander from Ottawa, Canada, Boucher is the WJCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week. He went 1-0 last week for the Plainsmen, helping power FPC to a win over Western Texas with a dominating effort. He pitched a 2-hit complete game, while striking out 5 in 7 innings on the hill.
A sophomore first baseman from Arlington, Texas, Alvarado is the WJCAC Baseball Position Player of the Week. He batted .615 for the week, with 2 doubles, 2 home runs and 8 RBI. Overall, he was 8-for-13 from the plate and scored six runs. He also reached base 3 times by being hit by a pitch.
