NTJCAC Softball Players of the Week (Feb. 12-18)

The NTJCAC Softball Players of the Week are Kalee Luna of Cisco College and Kayla Camacho of Cisco College.

A freshman infielder from Mathis, Texas, Luna earned the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week honors after turning in a stellar outing for the Lady Wranglers last week. She batted .591 with six doubles, a home run and 11 runs batted in. She also scored six runs. In the field, the CC shortstop had seven putouts, nine assists and helped turn three double plays.

A sophomore from Sealy, Texas, Camacho earned the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week honors by nailing down three wins in the week. Overall, she limited her opponents to just four hits in 11 innings of work while striking out 21 batters. In her two starts, she allowed just two hits. She also struck out the side on 12 pitches in the second game.
