HIghlassies move into NJCAA Top-10
The McLennan Softball squad moved up one spot to No. 10 in the latest NJCAA Division I Softball Rankings. McLennan has an overall record of 37-11 heading into this week's final conference series against Ranger.
Odessa (Texas) jumped two spots to No. 1 this week with a 40-4 record, while Wallace State (Alabama) moved up four spots to No. 2 with a record of 43-5. Florida SouthWestern, the previous No. 1, fell to No. 3 with a 43-5 record. Walters State (Tennessee) remained at No. 4 with a 42-2 record. Grayson (Texas), with a 39-7 record, fell three spots to No. 5 after losing three out of four games to McLennan last week.
Other Texas schools in the rankings: Galveston, down two spots to No. 15, 35-7 record; Weatherford, up one spot to No. 16, 35-10 record; and Temple, down one spot to No. 20, 37-13 record. San Jacinto is receiving votes.
