NTJCAC Softball Players of the Week (April 23-29)

The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Softball Players of the Week are Erin Plunkett of McLennan Community College and Katia Reyes of McLennan Community College.

A sophomore from Humble, Texas, Plunkett was named the NYJCAC Position Player of the Week for April 23-29. During the week, the MCC shortstop batted .769, drove in 12 runs and scored 10 times. She went 1-for2 with a triple and four RBI in the Highlassies' 14-1 win over Ranger in Game 1 of their series. In Game 2, she went 4-for-4 with a triple and three runs batted in and powered MCC to a 17-0 win.

A freshman from Weslaco, Texas, Reyes was the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week. She notched a shutout victory , allowing just a walk and one hit in a 17-0 rout of Ranger College. In five innings of work, she struck out four batters
