McLennan-Temple game suspended due to inclement weather

The McLennan Highlassies' and Temple Lady Leopards' elimination game on Saturday evening at the Region V North Softball Tournament in Waco, Texas, was suspended to inclement weather. The game was halted in the top of the third inning with Temple leading 2-0.

NTJCAC Commissioner Stan Feaster said the tournament was suspended due to safety when several lightning strikes were recorded in the area. The game will resume on Saturday, May 6, at 1 p.m.

The winner of the McLennan-Temple matchup will advance to face Weatherford on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. in a winner-take-all showdown in the consolation semifinals. The winner of the semifinal contest will move into the conference championship game on Sunday against Grayson.
