Jenkins, Becerra earn NTJCAC Player of the Week honors

Makenzi Jenkins of McLennan Community College and Adelyn Becerra of Temple College were named the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Softball Players of the Week.

A sophomore right-hander from Cypress, Texas, Jenkins was tabbed the NJCA Pitcher of the Week. She picked up 8-0 run-rule win over Blinn, allowing 3 hits, a walk, and no runs with 5 strikeouts in five innings. She also notched a 9-1 run-rule win over San Jacinto, allowing 5 hits, 1 earned run, 3 walks and three strikeouts in five innings of work.

A sophomore catcher from Houston, Texas, Becerra was the NTJCAC Position Player of the week. During the week, she batted .625 with six doubles, two triples and three home runs. She finished the week with 14 RBI and scored 13 runs.
