Subia-Ibarra, Lovato share WJCAC Softball Players of the Week honors

Erikha Subia-Ibarra of Midland College and Emma Lovato of Midland College were named the Western Junior College Athletic Conference's Softball Players of the Week.

A freshman infielder from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Subia-Ibarra was named the WJCAC Position Player of the Week after batting .833 with 11 runs scored. She finished the week with 2 doubles, 2 triples and six RBI. She also drew a walk and stole a base.

A freshman from Farmington, New Mexico, Lovato earned her second WJCAC Pitcher of the Week award. En route to picking up wins in both of her outings, she struck out 19 batters and limited opposing teams to just 2.10 earned runs. She allowed just 3 hits in her 10 innings of work while walking only three batters.
