Highlanders not eclipsed in NJCAA Rankings

The McLennan Highlanders (45-1) are #1 in the NJCAA Division I Softball Rankings for the sixth consecutive week

Northwest Florida State remained #2 with a 42-3 record while Indian River State (Florida) moved up one spot to #3 with a record of 37-4. Florida Southwestern State (39-5) fell one spot to #4, and Temple (Texas) moved up one spot to #5 with a 39-9 record.

Other Texas teams ranked: Paris, down one spot to #9, 35-7; Grayson, down three spots to #10, 27-10; Galveston, down two spots to #13, 30-9; Trinity Valley, down two spots to #18, 32-12; and North Central Texas, entering the poll at #19, 38-8. San Jacinto is receiving votes.

McLennan will face Ranger in a 1 p.m. doubleheader Wednesday in Ranger.
