Becerra, Reyes claim NTJCAC Softball Player of the Week honors

Adelyn Becerra of Temple College and Katia Reyes of McLennan Community College claimed the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Softball Players of the Week honors.

A sophomore catcher from Temple, Texas, Becerra was named the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week after batting .667 and driving in 7 runs. During the week, she recorded 4 doubles, a triple and 2 home runs, while also drawing a walk and stealing 4 bases.

A sophomore right-hander from Weslaco, Texas, Reyes was the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week after pitching a perfect game with four strikeouts in 9-0 run-rule win over No. 7-ranked Grayson. In addition to her dominance in the pitching circle, Reyes helped herself at the plate by going 2-for-3 at the plate with a homer, an RBI and 2 runs scored.
