McLennan's Bevley named NJCAA All-Star

McLennan women's basketball guard Saneea Bevley is one of 40 players from across the national selected to participate in the 15th Annual NJCAA Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Weekend July 20-23 in Atlanta.

As a freshman, the Kansas City, Missouri native helped lead the Highlassies to the NJCAA Division I Basketball National Championship for the first time since 1984 with a team-high 14.2 points per game average. She also averaged 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. For the season, Bevley was 107-286 from the 3-point line, which ranked fifth in the nation. Bevley was a North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference First-Team selection, a NJCAA Region V All-Region selection and a NJCAA Division I Honorable Mention All-American. She was also a finalist for World Exposure Report's NJCAA Division I Freshman of the Year award.
