DAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week (Oct. 9-15)

The Dallas Athletic Conference has announced its Women's Soccer Players of the Week for Oct. 9-15.

The DAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week is Meleni Lorenzo of Dallas College-Brookhaven and Ivelyn Jimenez of Dallas College-Brookhaven.

A freshman forward from Fort Worth, TX, Lorenzo gave the conference leaders some good offensive output by contributing with goals and an assist. She started the week with 2 goals and 1 assist against Cedar Valley, then ended the week with a goal against Mountain View. Meleni ended the week's tally with 3 goals and 1 assist.

A sophomore defender from Denton, Texas. Jimenez is the Brookhaven captain and the leader of the defense. She leads by example every game and is one of the main reasons why Brookhaven has only given up one goal in conference all season. Not only is she solid defensively, but she's also great offensively when she bombs forward to add attacking pressure on opposing defenses. The Lady Bears kept two clean sheets this week with help of their captain.
