Elliott, Taylor earn DAC Players of the Week honors

Dallas College Richland's Paige Elliott and Dallas College Brookhaven's Sayer Taylor were named the Dallas Athletic Conference women's soccer Players of the Week for Sept. 24-30.
A sophomore goalkeeper from Rowlett, Texas, Elliott was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. She made five saves in a 0-0 tie with No. 2 Dallas College Brookhaven. She also had two saves in a second shutout for the week when the No. 5 nationally-ranked Thunderducks beat Dallas College Eastfield.
Elliott (2-0-1) has not allowed a goal in 315 minutes between the posts this season.
A native of Frisco, Texas, Taylor was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. She scored the game-winning goal, and added an assist in a 4-0 win at Dallas College Cedar Valley, which was receiving votes in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III rankings. It was her first game-winning goal of her Bears career.
Taylor has three goals and three assists for nine points this season. She is second on the team in points.
