Bears Honored at United Soccer Coaches Convention

Dallas College Brookhaven's Kaley Robison was honored at the United Soccer Coaches convention as the Junior College Division III National Player of the Year Saturday.

Bears teammates Bailey Clark and Whitni Newbill joined Robison in collecting All-America honors. Meah Perez and Clark received Scholar All-America honors.

A sophomore midfielder from Argyle, Texas, Robison scored eight goals and had three assists for 19 points as Brookhaven won its third straight National Junior College Athletic Association Division III National Championship. Robison had the gamewinning goal and an assist in the Bears' 3-1 national semifinal win over Mohawk Valley Community College. She recorded three gamewinning goals in the season. Robison named a USC Junior College Division III First Team All-American.

Clark, a sophomore defender from Corinth, Texas, received USC First Team All-America and USC First Team Scholar All-America honors. She had three goals and two assists for eight points. Clark scored a goal in the national quarterfinal win over Community College of Rhode Island.

A sophomore forward from Fort Worth, Texas, Newbill was named a USC Second Team All-American. She had 13 goals and seven assists for 33 points. Newbill scored four gamewinning goals. She had one goal in both the national quarterfinal and semifinal victories.

Perez, a sophomore defender from Grand Prairie, Texas, was named a First Team Scholar All-American. She had four goals and eight assists for 16 points. Perez had two goals and an assist in the national quarterfinals.
