Lewis Named DAC Player of the Week

Dallas College Brookhaven's Mariah Lewis was selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

A freshman defender from Fort Worth, Texas, Lewis had a goal and an assist, and played a key role in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III No. 1-ranked Bears' 3-0 shutout victory over Cisco College.

Lewis scored Brookhaven's first goal of the season – a 30-yard free kick. She also had an assist on the second goal of the game, which belonged to Gianna Antovoni. Lewis' goal was the game winner.

The Bears (1-1-0) will host Paris Junior College at noon Friday.
