Banda, Flores Net DAC Players of Week

Dallas College Brookhaven women's soccer's Natalia Banda and Brianna Flores were named the Dallas Athletic Conference Players of the Week.

Banda received the league's Player of the Week, while Flores collected the Goalkeeper of the Week honor.

A freshman defender from Anna, Texas, Banda had a goal and two assists in No. 2 Brookhaven's two sweeps last week. In addition to contributing to the Bears' two clean sheets, Banda played a key role in the offensive attack. She assisted on Brookhaven's first goal in the 3-0 win over Dallas College North Lake. She also netted an Olympico goal on her corner kick to cushion the lead. In the 2-0 win over No. 8 Dallas College Cedar Valley, she had an assist.

Banda has two goals and four assists this season.

A freshman goalkeeper from McKinney, Texas, Flores posted a pair of shutouts, while making nine saves in the two victories. She stopped four shots in the win over North Lake, and made five saves against Cedar Valley.

Flores (6-2-3) has a 0.82 goals against average, .830 save percentage and five shutouts this season.
