Westerners, Wranglers deadlock again

Just like their first meeting in Snyder, the Western Texas College Lady Westerners and Cisco College Wranglers ended locked in another tie, this time a scoreless contest on the road Friday afternoon.

The Westerners recorded nine total shots. Rosa Emma Ortega led the effort with three attempts, and Mia Sanchez placed both shots on frame.

Karmen Coronado. Playing for 90 minutes, she collected three saves and notched her first career shutout to secure the result.

The Lady Westerners return home for their next contest on Thursday, October 10, when they host Hill College at Weaver Field in Snyder. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
