Buendia Named DAC Goalkeeper of Week

Dallas College North Lake's Elise Buendia was selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week.

A freshman from Irving, Texas, Buendia stopped 11 shots in a 1-1 tie with Dallas College Cedar Valley Friday. Playing with an injured hand, she made five saves in the first half and six in the second half to keep the Blazers in the game.

It is the most saves she's had all season.

North Lake will host Dallas College Mountain View 4 p.m. Tuesday.
