WJCAC Women's Volleyball Players of the Week (Sept. 25 - Oct. 1)

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference has announced its Women's Volleyball Players of the Week for Sept. 25 through Oct. 1.

The WJCAC Players of the Week are Lauren Fuller of Western Texas College and Jennifer Valdez of Western Texas College.

A 5-8 freshman libero from Corpus Christi, Texas, Fuller helped lead the Westerners to 1-1 record last week. She averaged 7.38 digs per set, had 29 digs against NMMI, and 30 digs against Amarillo College. She added six assists and an ace in eight sets.

A 5-10 freshman middle blocker from El Paso, Texas, Valdez helped lead the Westerners to 1-1 record last week. She hit .412 against NMMI,.538 against Amarillo College. Overall she hit .488 in the two matches, had 21 kills and no errors in eight sets. She also added 10 digs, an assist and an ace
