Harvester Bees Sting Four Times in All-America Honors

Dallas College Eastfield's volleyball team put three players on the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III All-America First Team and another on the Second Team.

Freshman outside hitters Azoria Davis and Brenly Walker and freshman setter Taryn Doiron earned First Team All-America honors, while sophomore middle blocker Tasmine Maxwell was a Second Team All-American as Eastfield (35-0) ran the table to win the program's second national championship.

Davis, a 5-foot-9 product from League City, Texas, had 336 kills, 375 digs, 39 blocks and 18 aces, while hitting .260. She pounded a season-high 19 kills in a four-set victory over Northwest Mississippi Community College. She had double-digit kills in 14 matches, and recorded 11 double-doubles in digs and putaways. Davis had a season-best 24 digs in a four-set win over Dallas College Brookhaven.

A 5-9 native of Lexington, Texas, Walker had 289 kills, 291 digs, 48 aces and 27 blocks, while hitting .265. She produced double-digit kills in 11 matches, with a season-best 17 in a sweep of Brookhaven. Walker eight double-doubles in kills and digs, recorded 10 or more digs in 12 matches, and had a season-best 22 in a four-set win over Dallas College North Lake.

Doiron, a 5-9 product of Bridge City, Texas, had 736 assists, 259 digs and 48 aces. She recorded double figure assists in all but one of the 35 matches, and put up a season-high 37 in the four-set national semifinal win over Alexandria Technical & Community College. Doiron recorded 30 or more assists in five matches, and had nine double-doubles in assists and digs. She had a season-best 14 digs in two matches, and ripped off four aces in two others.

Maxwell, a 6-footer who hails from Houston, finished with 192 kills, 58 blocks and a .240 attack percentage. She had a season-high 10 kills in a sweep at Cisco College. Maxwell recorded three or more blocks in 10 matches, with a season-best five in a sweep of Coffeyville Community College.

Eastfield dropped six sets this season in becoming the first NJCAA Division III volleyball team to win all of its matches en route to a national championship.
