McLennan Volleyball program signs first player

Madison Fletcher from Fate, Texas, is the first player to sign with McLennan volleyball. The 5-7 setter has years of experience playing up an age level with several club teams, most recently with Allegiant Volleyball Club. She previously played with Rival Volleyball Club and Incredible Crush. Eighteen of her teammates from those teams have signed to play at the college level and several others are still in the recruiting process.

Fletcher was highly recruited, receiving offers from Lee, Vernon, Frank Phillips, Cisco, Eastfield, Rock Valley (Illinois), Central Christian (Kansas), Wesleyan University (Georgia) and Coffeyville before choosing McLennan. She is the daughter of former McLennan men's basketball assistant coach Anthony Fletcher.

"I'm so honored to be the first member of the Highlander Volleyball program," Fletcher said. "McLennan and Waco hold a very special place in my family's life, and I'm ready to help build something remarkable in regards to the volleyball program."

McLennan Volleyball will take the court for its inaugural season in August.
